Happy to announce that I have created a Part II to my child sexual abuse prevention training. I prefer that you take the original training prior to Part II but it is not necessary. However, both classes are necessary to get the full training and all of the crucial information.
Part II is hands-on instructional with lots of Q & A and Discussion and little or no video. Here is the training you will receive:
Healthy Touch for Children and Youth
Healthy affection and touch are protective from child sexual abuse, especially with parents, family members, caregivers, and youth-serving organization. I teach what types of touch are ok, how, when and where.
Healthy Sexual Development
- How to identify healthy behaviors
- How to identify potentially unhealthy behaviors
Talking with Children about Safety from Sexual Abuse
- What to say and when to say it
- From birth through the teen years
Bystanders Protecting Children from Boundary Violations and Sexual Abuse
A bystander is a person who is not directly involved in an interaction but senses something is unsafe or witnesses a boundary violation or a vulnerable situation for a child.
- Risky Behaviors – known as “Grooming”
- The Steps an Active Bystander should take
- Spontaneous and Planned Intervention
Child Sexual Abuse and the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)
Child sexual abuse makes children more vulnerable to sexual exploitation. More than 90% of children who have been commercially sexually exploited have been sexually abused in the past.
CSEC, known as Sex Trafficking, is an $810 million-dollar industry in San Diego. Significant recruitment is happening in middle schools and high schools.
